God is Moving

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.
For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame,
and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners,
so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. (Hebrews 12:2-3)

God moves the most unlikely hearts

We live in a world ripped apart by Satan's global scheme to destroy lives He will stop at nothing to deceive us, manipulate us, and paralyze us with fear - anything to keep our eyes off Jesus, his purposes, his love, and his provision of hope.

Daily battered by the bad news of global calamity, war, and death, hope can seem distant and unrealistic. We easily raise defenses that shut off the joy of living in Christ. Yet as followers of Christ, we know that our hope and joy are secure in our unshakeable God - not in the temporary reality we see. He says,

Be still, and know that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth. (Psalm 46:10)

We can be confident that God is not surprised or worried at the growth of Islam, that he is sovereign and will bring all the glory to himself:

Therefore God also highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11)
